Hey everyone!

A new transfer starts today. I’m still with Elder Weaver in Primo de Rivera, and our zone got smaller. We`ve only got 6 other companionships in the zone, but its got its benefits. It’s so cool to be in the mission at this time. President Barreiros finishes his mission in 4 weeks, so he´s training like crazy all the new leaders. He called 5 more assistants to travel and train the mission. Almost all my group from the MTC are now assistants or zone leaders. We have so much pressure on our shoulders, because if we want the mission to keep the pace, we have a lot to teach. The mission is filled with new young missionaries and leaders. Its so weird, but so exciting. Elder Ferriera, my "son" in the mission got called as a zone leader in downtown Santiago, so I´m very happy for him.

At this time in the mission, you feel the urgency. You´re running against the clock, and now is the time to give your very best. Keep on praying for me and my group so that we will have the strength to endure to the end. I´ll be taking more pictures, I promise!!!

Yeah thats right!! I love my new sector! Its sooo "flaite". We`ve got a ton of apartment blocks and the people here come from a lot more humble circumstances. My sector is just a huge hill. From above it almost looks like a favela haha! We`ve got a huge encampment made out of spare wood and tin at the bottom of it (I don't know how the people live in it), and we`ve got huge power line towers that run right through the middle of our sector. You can literally hear the electric current running through the wires! My companions are great. We`re running everyday in the morning. I am so out of shape. Just gotta keep at it. Elder Johnson finishes his mission next Monday, so me and Elder Weaver have gotta work hard so he doesn’t get trunky on us... just kidding haha! I feel good and really weird being in the field as a zone leader. Its been 5 months since I`ve had to worry about a sector other than mine, so I just gotta remember my district leader days. Sorry I haven't been sending photos. I lost my SD card and my other one is full. The internal memory of my camera has a few photos, but the computers in these cyber cafes are too old to recognize my camera. Ill see what I can do.

But this week finished good. 2 of the investigadors that Elder Weaver and Elder Johnson were teaching got baptized Saturday! Just gotta keep chugging on. Love you all!!

Surprise!!!! I don’t have changes! I’m gonna stay in the office for at least a couple weeks more. We´ve been getting a lot of rejections lately in the sector. God had been blessing us incredibly for such a long time, so I knew a test like this would come. Highlights of the week include playing soccer today for the first time in a while, free catered lunches for zone conference, and seeing the recent converts that God has given us stay excited and participating in the church.  To all of you who are preparing to serve missions, just remember that its not always gonna be sunshine, but every storm ends. Never lose hope. That’s the key. Faith and Hope are the only things we have to hold on to. Sorry for the short email. I can’t think of anything else. Till next time!!

heeeeeeeeeeeeyy yall remember that I didn’t have changes? President called me last night around 10pm to tell me that I did! I’m gonna be a zone leader in my first zone, Cerrillos. It’s really exciting for me! I’m happy to be back in the place where I started. I’m in the ward Primo de Rivera this time, and the trippiest thing is that my companion was a member of my YSA ward in BYU! Elder Conner Weaver. We´ve always joked that we would be companions one day, and it looks like our dreams come true! I’m gonna be having Pday on Mondays again, just like the rest of my mission. Catch you next Monday!

We got to Skype with him today on Mother's Day Eve. It was awesome to see him and hear his voice. The best part was to see how truly happy he is!

Here is a picture of us waiting for Caleb to call us on Skype:

Here is our last Skype Family Picture since Caleb comes home this August! :)

So President confirmed me the other day something sad, but at the same time relieving: I’m gonna have special changes on Monday. He´s taking me out so I can spend my last 2 transfers out in the field. I don´t know where I will go, but I’ll find out tomorrow. Its really bittersweet because on one hand, I happy to leave the stress of the office, but I´m sad to leave the ward and my sector. This sector has been a sector of miracles. I´ve never seen so many prepared people just show up out of nowhere. Today we have 2 people who will be baptized, friends of the Sanchez family. The 10-year-old boy is incredible. He shows an understanding of the gospel that exceeds that of many adult members. it was thanks to his testimony that his grandmother finally softened up and decided to join. He wants to be a missionary when he gets older, and I know that he will be an incredible instrument in the hands of the Lord. Its incredible what children can teach us on a daily basis.

My last week in the office was very eventful. I had to wake up at 2am to take a sister to the airport, the whole office got repainted while we were working, we had an adventure trying to rescue a few letters before they got sent from the post office, with an endless supply of twists and turns. And it all topped off that today, president gave us permission to go to downtown Santiago to go shopping for p-day. we went to a place that is a carbon copy of the LA garment district for those of you who know it. I scored on a few jerseys from Colo Colo, a local Chilean team.

Well, that’s about it. or at least its all my brain capacity lets me remember. I´ve come to the conclusion that the word "rest" does not exist in missionary vocab. but it’s alright!! Lets just keep on working. See you guys later!
