Hey Everyone!

Frozen:
As the title says, were entering winter here in the coast! Time to bust out the gloves and beanie haha! Along with the weather, we've been seeing a lot of miracles come. Yesterday I had a less active who had gone to church for the first time tell me " I don’t know why you arrived at my house. I always had the desire to return, but little things kept stopping me. And now I’m here. I just adore you guys!"
During the daily planning session a few nights ago, I felt that we had to go to a certain sector of my area. We arrived at the last minute, and after little success, we went to an address in a private condominium that we had never entered. Then came out the less active. She started with excuses of why she didn’t go, but as we listened and asked about her conversion story, she softened up and told us about the many trials she was going through. I turned to Alma 7:11-12 which says:

11 And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people.
12 And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities.

I testified of how the atonement of Jesus Christ would help her overcome her challenges, and with the spirit strong, we invited her to come to church. The joy on that sisters face made my day. I’m glad the Lord helped us be an instrument in his hands
With Elder Araya we've been exploring new sectors, and we frequently get lost haha! But its all a good adventure. Its even more awesome when you get lost so perfectly that you end up finding more less actives to help! My sector is like a paradisical wilderness. Nature at its prime. Its sooooo beautiful! I’m so grateful to be here.
One of the things that I learned in my studies the other day is how awesome the allegory of the vineyard is in Jacob 5. Think about how many times the Lord says in the chapter " It grieveth me that I should lose this tree." As I was reading the BYU book of Mormon manual, it struck me of how we are the trees. God wants us to give good fruit, or use the atonement in our lives to be the best people we can be. Like the gardener, God does all he can to give us the tools and experiences we need to give good fruit, or live the gospel, but when even after all he does the trees give bad fruit, how much he suffers. God is so merciful even when we are so stubborn. He gives us everything we need to have a happy life in the gospel, but we have to be the ones to chose it. Let us all look to change what we need to do so that God can look at us and say with pride and joy "That’s my son" or "That’s my daughter".
I know God lives, and that’s why I keep fighting everyday. Good luck, and victory in your everyday battles!
Love,
Elder Pomar
PS The picture was my comps Idea. He said it was like my soul was coming out of me haha!
